Information for Female Students

During the Winter Semester 2018/19, 59 % of all students at JGU were female. The ratio of female to male students at Faculty 08 was 30%.

In order to encourage potential students to study mathematics, computer science, or physics, the institutes of the Faculty participate in Girls‘ Day every year. Find out more regarding programmes for highschool students here.

The Ada Lovelace Project offers a mentoring programme for first year female students. It also offers advanced students the opportunity to participate as a mentor and hence further expand their network.

The AStA Alle Frauen-Referat advises and supports female students and organizes advanced training courses (e.g. rhetoric, self-assertion) and cultural events.
